The "2019 China-Korea Traditional Medicine Symposium" was held at Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences on October 31. Nearly one hundred leaders of some second-level institutes of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, members of the China-Korea cooperation project team and graduate students attended the meeting.

 

Huang Luqi first delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. He emphasized that the exchange of Chinese medicine and Korean medicine has a long history, and both sides learn from each other and develop together. The cooperation between our hospital and the Korean Medical Research Institute has gradually deepened from preliminary academic exchanges to basic and clinical research in specific fields, and carried out beneficial explorations in the joint use of Chinese and Korean traditional medicine to prevent common diseases and frequent diseases. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation and work together to advance traditional medicine to a new height, so as to better serve the health of the people of both countries.

 

Jin Zhongyue pointed out that both Korean Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine play a decisive role in the medical systems of their respective countries, and both parties are committed to working together to create new values ​​for traditional medicine. It is hoped that in the process of globalization, they will jointly solve scientific problems and continuously introduce cutting-edge scientific research results.

 

Li Duji said that he will create conditions for China-South Korea cooperation at the government level, and hopes that Chinese and South Korean researchers will conduct more scientific research on methods of treating diseases based on the preliminary research.

 

Wu Zhendou pointed out that Chinese and Korean medicines share the same roots, but each also has its own unique theoretical characteristics and treatment methods. Especially in the frontier of life sciences, it plays a unique role in non-communicable diseases and chronic diseases in today's society. Both sides should use the China-Korea Traditional Medicine Coordination Committee mechanism to further deepen cooperation, strengthen personnel exchanges, and expand cooperation in science, education, research, literature, and information.

 

This Sino-Korean cooperation seminar is the ninth academic meeting held by the two sides in turn. 10 Chinese and Korean experts from Wangjing Hospital, Guang'anmen Hospital, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Institute of Clinical Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine respectively focus on clinical research on atopic dermatitis , Physical fitness research, acupuncture treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome, acupuncture treatment of memory impairment research cooperation topics and lung cancer research progress academic exchanges, introduced the research content, progress and preliminary results of the cooperation topics.

 

Yang Longhui and Jin Zhongyue made concluding speeches respectively. After the meeting, representatives of the Korean side visited the Medical History Museum, the Artemisinin Center of the Chinese Medicine Institute and Xiyuan Hospital.
